Tidus44
For those of us springing forward, any nychthemeron that spans 2:00:00 AM local time on Sunday 2014-04-09 will start and end in different-numbered hours.LST- Lunar Standard Time.. 2014/ 03/ 08 12:00:00(GMT) = 47-01-01 ∇ 12:00:26 ‘Only a white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of a blanket and have a longer blanket.’ - a Lakotah Elder when asked about DST. Sounds like it may mess up a few people's circadian rhythms; behavior or physiological activity occurring in approximately 24-hour cycles. Sometimes called our biological clock. Don't know where you are (Aurielius & AaronOfMpls) but where I am the coming of DST tends to see a few days of fairly fierce debate between those who want DST and those who don't. DST was voted down by referendum in the 1960's here and we have been on Central Time ever since. Every year it seems there is the group that wants DST because it is beneficial to health (more daylight) and those who don't want it because it is detrimental to health (it triggers sleep disorders in some). I read an article about it takes most people one to two days to adjust (it's similar to jet lag) while others take a month or more and some never adjust. Tidus44
I guess no one is confabulating today. confabulation: talking, conversation or in psychiatry, a gap in someone's memory replaced by something made up they believe to be true.
