Dubnoman
I reinstalled Skyrim and I backed up my cleanslate Skyrim folder. With NMM, I did not activate any mods and did not activate the three Bethesda Hi-Res texture packs. I want to use the superior Hi-Res texture mods found on the nexus. I noticed that my data folder for Skyrim has three esp files and three bsa files for the three part Bethesda Hi-Res texture pack. So when I install the Skyrim HD texture packs, do I first delete those three esp and three bsa files? Or do I keep them for some reason and then install the texture packs that I want? Remember, I did not install the Bethesda texture packs via NMM but those three esp and three bsa files were in my data folder anyway.
Tidus44
I kept them, but do not activate them. The reason being is Steam kept downloading them every time I opened Steam in "on line" mode and blocked me from doing anything or playing any games until the download was complete. They must be part of the game files now as I never downloaded them voluntarily and they appeared in the data files after a Skyrim update - but I don't recall which update.
