Fallout 3 Nano Suit?

I'm normally against this rule but i always respect individual sites rules. If Nexus dosn't want it then it dosn't go here.

But personally IMO and this goes all the way back to GTAForums where i was banned for voicing my opinion.

As long as credit is given and neither company asks the modder to stop or sends a message to anyone to take it down i don't see anything bad in it. The things are given out freely and in their new form aren't really good for the other game anyway.

Obviously i understand the legal implications of it but so far i've never heard of any legal action being taken against modders since it's all being done for free and people are just doing it in their spare time.

@jsnider193, giving an "indication" is pretty-much the same as giving a direct link. You are still using this site to direct its members to content not allowed here. We do not moderate PMs but again, if you post "PM me to get the links" is the same thing which is directing the public to the same places.

Not trying to argue here, but im curious why nobody has tried to take legal action against google.... that site directs users towards all kinds of illicit sites, some of which break actual laws...

well if we are not allowed to do this on nexus on the forums then the only option i can think of is switching operations over to facepunch studios forums in there fallout 3 section. they dont have a rule like this in place since they really dont care. they are not a pirate mod site so no reason to ban my links above.

Did I miss the one small opportunity of where this mod was being held at and linked here only to now be removed from even being linked ? Or will the download location to this mod be posted in the future again?

That's what I get for not reading this thread on an hourly basis I guess.

Don’t worry folks. I won’t turn my back on this mod or on the gamers who want it. If you want this mod you will be able to get it soon, but not here. This website has its rules and if we want to be here and share in the community we have to abide by those rules. You don’t go into some ones house and put your feet up on the coffee table, and when the owner tells you to please take your feet off the table; you don’t flip him the bird. Know what I mean.

trust me guys, don't start any fights over the rules of Nexus. Take it from someone who was at the frontlines of the GTA Conversion wars (and yes they practically were wars) all that happens is a lot of people get banned and a huge part of the modding community leaves.

I was banned from GTAForums for being part of the conversion supporters and i can only say to keep your opinions to yourself and go with the rules of the forums of which Nexus is great and is very generous with their rules compared to many other sites for game mods.

GTAForums for example the mod must be 100% made by you or you must have the person who made it join the forum and post there giving you permission in order to release a conversion and conversions from other games no matter how small are forbidden and gets you instantly banned just for talking about them.

The point is, Bethesda DID ask the community not to do this (multiple times). They should not be made to track down each offender and say the same thing.

Personally, I think it would be silly for game companies to "go after" people for doing things such as this if it was not done on a large scale (porting an entire game) or not being done for money. BUT (and this is a BIG but), I am an official on these forums and Dark0ne has decided that this is one of the few things we will not allow. I will respect his decision. I also think it is a respectful decision on his part to honor the request by Bethesda as well as many other game makers.
