I broke my World Map and uninstalling created new problems

I screwed up my world map. I tried a couple of mods that didn't turn out well (most likely due to my computer's low specs)

 

What I have now is a navigable Skyrim map, but EVERYTHING is covered in snow, the oceans and rivers, everything. The mountain detail is so obscured it's barely visible.

 

When I try to deactivate or remove the mods, it is causing conflict with other mods. I get the alert that says that some content that used to be there is gone, load anyway. On selecting yes, It then asks about this bag of holding mod I have, but I can't answer. The arrow cursor is gone and I can't do anything. I essentially have to power off my entire system and re-start.

 

I can't seem to find any changes in my SkyrimPrefs.ini, my backup one has the same information in it.

 

So, long story short, I'd like to just get the original Skyrim world map back. Does anyone know of a setting, file or configuration that I'm missing?

Have you verified your cache on Steam?

Uninstall whatever worldmap mods you have installed, and open a save game before installing those new mods.

Thanks for the replies!. I feel really dumb. Cache Integrity is fine, and I had uninstalled everything that I had changed. Since I was able to at least see the markers, yet with a completely obscured map, I kept playing. It turns out that I seem to be having the worst case of cloud cover that I have ever seen. They don't drift or have plumes or whatnot, just solid cover. The ground and its detail beneath has been fading in and out of visibility, but it is there.
