CPU GPU RAM Frequency question for gaming.

Recommended Posts

Mhz really does not matter that much. It's just a simple way to compare cards for advertising purposes, not for real-world game use.

Put it this way.

My GTX 660 has a core speed of 1013Mhz.

A regular GTX Titan has a core speed of 915Mhz.

If mhz was what really mattered, my 660 would be faster than a Titan. In reality, the Titan is like 200% better than my GTX 660.

Core speed does not matter that much. Using it to compare graphics cards will probably not end well.
