mrmike49
I want to learn to use the GECK, but I have FONV installed on my desktop, which is hooked up to my big screen - it is NOT conducive to text edtiing/reading. So, I'd like to install the GECK on my laptop to play around with. Is this possible? I know I get an error message about a file lisvor*****, so If I copy that file over?? thanksMike K
M48A5
No, you cannot have the GECK on a computer that is different then the game. Installation instructions "When prompted, be sure that the installation directory for the GECK matches where your retail version of Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas is installed." Oubliette
Technically it's possible but it's useless to do so. Without the proper esm files you can't really do anything with the editor except poke around the tabs.

rickerhk
You can install steam and the game on your laptop. Even if it may not have the video resources to run the game, newer laptops run the Geck ok.
