Swimming to Solstheim?

I am trying to travel to Solsthiem in for the first time in this save and my charector does indeed get there. the problem is that the boat you travel on to get there does not only the charector and 2 barrels.

 

on arival

for one reason or another i can't think where to start fixing this. if i need to anything more please tell me, and i will.
