jaysus Posted February 14, 2009 Share Posted February 14, 2009 1 gig...crashed like all the time until i installed the Live! disabler mod... now it crashes maybe once every 5h or so... and runs much smoother... the screenshots of my mods show my settings which are "ok"... i just dont seem to have tree shadows but there aint that many trees anyway :Pi guess its due to my old school burner video card, x850 for the win! 5yrs old and stil rocking way better than most up to date cards.... buddah Posted February 14, 2009 Share Posted February 14, 2009 You may also consider the operating system, xp can only utilize about 3.7 gigs, while vista can ustilize over 7. UpdateKilledMyID Posted February 14, 2009 Share Posted February 14, 2009 This ain't going to be of much help but Fallout 3 is stable as a rock on my machine. specs:Vista 64 Premium.Q6600 2.4hz overclocked to 3.6Ghz2 Gig of DDR3 ram overclocked from 1066Mhz to 1600Mhz and timings tweaked.Nvidia 9800 GTX BFG card factory overclocked.Asus P5E3 Deluxe wifi.I have also played with the Fallout.ini files to get further detail. GFWL is a bit laggy when you press the HOME key but it still does what it says on the tin. Either I'm 'lucky' or the unreasonable time I've spent on setting this system up has payed off.
