Jibston
So far I haven't had problems on any other games, but in Fallout 3 when I try and play, I get these really hurtful noises, like, they're so loud and strange sounding it actually hurts and almost instantly gives me a headache, I've updated my sound card and video drivers, and the game and even got the unofficial Fallout 3 patch thinking it might help. is it the 1.1? I didn't have this problem beforehand, I did a tiny bit but it was only clips here and there. Now I can't even load a savegame without it making the sounds and having them stay on. Also, I didn't have this problem at all whenthe game wasn't updated at all... So maybe it's the soundfiles being screwed with in the updates? Has anyone else had this problem and if so,what do I do? Thank you. P.S. My soundcard is roughly 4 years old, it's an SB Live! series. And in my system it says it's working properly.

phoneyLogic
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codec or try to install k-lite http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm standard / basic recommend --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- but if there is a stuttering, try to uninstall codecs like this: ffdshow (also klite), Xvid, Arcsoft, AC3, MADFilter dont forget to reboot
