dachacha
Not sure if one of these already exists (I searched the nexus but the only vampire eye mods I found were bug fixing mods) Im looking for a mod that reverts the Dawnguard change to vampire eyes. With the glowing vampire eyes it is just way to obvious who is a vampire and who isnt, which someone detracts from immersion in cases such as Sybille Stentor's, whos vampirism is supposed to be a secret given that she has integrated herself into a royal court, but instead becomes blatantly obvious with her glowing eyes which everyone else in the court apparently doesnt notice. It just feels ridiculous walking into the blue palace and clearly seeing a vampire while everyone else is oblivious. The same goes for hern and hert, who are also supposed to be secret vampires i believe.

The eyes are good, but if you want to get rid of them while stil being vampire, you can change yourself via commands. However, this will likely screw your talent points. Also, changing in and out of vampire lord form will reset the change of eyes again. There is multiple eye types of vampires, If you would know them all, I think you would be surprised who everything is a vampire. Its just that Dawnguard change will trigger only the bright orange eyes for player character. The thing is that most of the characters in Skyrim are dumb (not thinking about AI, just generally dumb to be able to differ Vampire from normal being, as there is different types of eyes for regular people - full black eyes, which some believe to be a sign of business with daedra, etc. And about the Sybille. Amongst the Court, its no secret that she is a vampire. Everyone knows it. There is several other hints that tells you that she is a vampire. Here is some that I can remember from scratch: You cant feed on her while she is sleeping. She is obsessed with words like blood, bleed, etc... not to mention she is interested in vampires, gives you advices on how to deal with them, she will even give you quest to destroy a vampire den. One of her exact sentences: Dont forget, world is full of people trying to spill your blood. Other hints: The eyes, and pale skin obviously, as well as tendency to wear robes with capes (most mages do, but indoors? Only Necromants and vampires do that from what I remember - Wuulfreth, and Sybille, or the guy who can heal your vampirism). And the last but most obvious hints - one of the thanes advises you to stay on Sybille s bright side, as well as not have illegal intentions - you have no idea of the dangers that some of the Solitude prisoners have to face. (Obviously a reference to Sybille being the legally court wizard vampire, that only feeds on the worst prisoners). And if you played Dawnguard main quest, you will find journal in the Redwater den, that mentions meeting of Sybille and the vampire Boss of redwater den, where Sybille helps him, and asks him to keep his behaviour ,,civil´´ - another reference to her being a civilized vampire, that feeds on prisoners. Bozzz123
Well from what all the guards and court are saying about Sybille it seems like they already know she's a vampire but just won't admit it. So really the eyes dont take away from the lore because thats what gave her away (and the creepy dialougue).

No one else refers to her being a vampire. Of course I can pick up on the hints like not being able to feed on her, but that was not what I was talking about. Prior to the Dawnguard dlc Sybille had normal eyes, and I found out she was a vampire through detect life spell. No one on her court even indirectly refers to her vampirism except the example you used where the Thane tells you not to get on her badside because of the dangers that prisoners face, which isnt exaclty a reference to vampirism, just that she harms prisoners. Any way the thread wasnt meant to argue whether or not everyone knows. Prior to dawnguard characters like Hert and Sybille were vampires who blended in with society. After Dawnguard they have glowing red eyes, which makes it obvious who they are, but since the glowing eyes dont even give away the player character (hence the guards saying "dont like those eyes youve got" instead of attacking you) we are left to assume that the other characters dont notice her eyes. It was just bethesda being lazy and not caring that the glowing eyes were immersion breaking. (Besides, do you really think that someone in the court of solitude is openly a vampire and the civilians who attack other vampires on sight just dont care?) Jokerine - Those mods are in the ballpark of what i was looking for, thanks.
WarriorOfFaith
Why should Bethesda be lazy? It is clear that Vampires are recognized by people! "Dont like those eyes you got. They've got a bad hunger to them" "You'r skin's as pale as the snow. Are you scared of sunlight or something?" People obviously notice you being a vampire! Also the loading screen often says, that as a vampire people will comment on your appearance, but they will never shun you like they do the werewolf. Everyone knows about you being a vampire, but as long as you dont harm them by feeding or attacking them they just don't care! They differ between hostile vampires and those who seem to feed only on bandits, as its not their concern ;)
