CaptainPatch
... did you update to the recently released version of TES5Edit?). I've got TES5Edit version 3.0.30 EXPERIMENTAL; is there something newer? If so, where, and how should it be updated? (Uninstall then install new version? Just install the newer version and it updates automatically? Etc.) Should ALL of the Quest mods be install-just-before-start, and then uninstall-when-done? That seems odd, because consider all of the Skyrim vanilla Quests: From the first minute of gameplay, they're already _there_, just waiting to be played umpteen hours later. And then when completed, they remain as game "History" with the Completed Quest notation in the Journal. Why wouldn't Quest mods operate the same way? Papyrus logs, Trace logs, and now BOSS logs too? Where does the BOSS log appear? Wow. Steam must have just updated the game; dirty edits for the Update and each of the DLCs. Time to do some Cleaning!..... Odd. The wife's BOSS report shows newly-developed dirty edits, but my BOSS report shows as already Cleaned (which was from about a week ago). I wonder why hers went dirty, but mine didn't. It's because those files were re-downloaded when you verified game files with Steam. I don't know what happened, but clearly something messed up your wife's Skyrim installation. I can't imagine what unless she's been doing some mod editing on her own. Maybe you should post her BOSS log here so we can see what she's been running. CaptainPatch
Again, what do you mean by the BOSS log? Is that a separate file somewhere (like Papyrus and Trace logs) or is it just that lengthy page of mods showing Errors, Warnings, Suggestions and dirty edits? If it's not the latter, I'll need to know where to go looking for it.
ripple
The 'BOSS log' is the log that is outputted every time you run BOSS. It's in html format by default unless you used the GUI to change the output to text file format. It contains the load order of the plugins, as well as relevant messages to the plugins like 'dirty edits' and Bash Tag suggestions. Just copy/paste the contents of that log into a spoiler tag. CaptainPatch
That's what I suspected, but I wanted to be sure. Here's her BOSS _after_ I Cleaned those dirty edits. ripple
Looks fine now. Does her game play ok? If not, we'll have to goto the Papyrus log (more logs, yes...) and see if anything shows up there. Enable Papyrus logging in the ini and try to play for at least 10 minutes.
CaptainPatch
She's up and running (er, playing) and the frequency of CTDs has dropped to practically nil. [Life is soooo much nicer now without the wailing and gnashing of teeth and kicking-the-dog ripple effect. ] BTW, with things working well, would the CleanInvalidRegistrations=1 SKSE.ini be removed? (Not that I ever managed to put it in the right place, but SOP would be nice to know.)

(Not that I ever managed to put it in the right place, but SOP would be nice to know.)No, the SKSE.ini file won't be removed....unless of course, you remove it. And leaving it won't effect your game play...it's just sitting there looking for any orphaned scripts that might need killing if the mod they're attached to are no longer present in your game. And it, if I am not mistaken, gets placed in your Skyrim>Data>SKSE folder. And if you never had a SKSE folder, you just created one and dropped the SKSE.ini file into it. Glad to hear your Wife is able to play now!
