Saladressing Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 Hey everyone.So, I just got a fresh install of Fallout 3 GOTY off of Steam and I wanted to get the FWE + MMM + EVE + WMK + PB combo installed and set up.Initially, I followed the install guide and used the FOIP files to match my load order to the one posted on the nexus page for FWE. When this resulted in me loading to a blank main menu w/o any use of the mouse or keyboard, I researched and found some unofficial fixes people posted (namely Blackened's patch as well as the Mergers EVE fix) and now all I'm getting is a straight crash to desktop as soon as I load the game. I am launching using FOSE and I've already run the archive invalidation.FO3 loads fine by itself and with DLC, and I also ran it with FOOK for a short time using EVE, MMM and PB, but I wanted to ditch FOOK to give FWE another shot and ended up in the same place. M48A5 Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 Is the EVE you have installed from Paradox Ignition? Did you use the DarNifies UI F3 Alpha 9.2 FoMod? Did you using FOMM to install the mods and launch the game? Did you download and install the Fallout 3 1.7 patch? Did you download and install the latest GFWL client? Saladressing Posted July 2, 2013 Author Share Posted July 2, 2013 -EVE is from Paradox Ignition -the DarNifies UI was installed via the dui_f3a10.fomod -FOMM was used to install all FOMOD files and files compressed using 7zip (WMK, MMM, EVE) were installed with care manually -as far as the FO3 1.7 patch, that I am not too sure. If it is the unofficial patch then no. I am using the latest version via Steam -for GWFL, I was not aware that it was necessary to keep that up to date as I am not using LIVE to play the game Hope this helps narrow down the troubleshooting!
