Relios
If you've played Fallout 3 then you know what happens when you give an NPC a power-armor's helmet; their voice is given a radio-esque filter. Now, I may be nit-picking here but the only thing that really ticked me off about New Vegas is the fact that this little effect is still in, but is instead replaced by a muffler-esque filter (Like if they were wearing a rag over their mouth.) I've searched across Nexus Mods, Youtube, google, and all I've found is a small forum that had no avail. So this is my request, if someone can replace New Vegas' filter with 3's in Power and Riot helmets, while still maintaining the vanilla "muffler" for their respective helmets (Legion helms, NCR Muffler attire, etc.) I'd be eternally grateful. Gribbleshnibit8
I think they changed the way that works because of the fact that the legion and NCR armor wearers are much more common than PA. As far as fixing it, I'm pretty sure it's an engine thing, so I'm not sure anyone can fix it short of rewriting that section of the engine. jambonpaper
...power-armor's helmet; their voice is given a radio-esque filter... I searched everywhere as well but found nothing, can someone please solve this, I believe it adds so much more to the game to have a voice modulator like NPCs wearing power armor helmets in Fallout 3! New Vegas really screwed this part up!

New Vegas really screwed this part up! As gribbles said, it has something to do with the engine itself :/ So there wont be any "fixing" soon, unless youre like...an expert programmer. Doesnt really make the powered helmets feel......powered, despite evidently being chock full of electronics.
