3D scan yourself into Skyrim

I had this idea when I read some articles about how easily accessible 3D scanning technology has become. Anyone who has a Microsoft Connect for Windows or even a smart phone with the right app can easily make a full-color 3D point map model of themselves. How cool would it be for someone to make a mod that would allow you to put your 3D model in it and then use that model to adjust your character's skeleton and texture? You could scan yourself into Skyrim.

You talking about this?

It doesn't give you a workable wireframe, both animation wise and regarding the polycount. Not to mention that it isn't a real "head", or even face for that matter. it's basically just a 3d object of a piece of tissue where your face is protruding. Even with a 3d editing software, it would be more work involved in converting that kind of model into a workable playerhead, than it would be to simply start from scratch.

You are better off taking a photo of your front and side, and hoping that someone takes the time to model the head for you.

Programs like Facegen can generate faces from two photos, side and front, along with free customizing using lot of different sliders. Then you can export and use them.

Also, Bethesda licensed this software and it's what used in Oblivion to create faces, but results were quite "meh".

Your said tecnology is really advanced and costs millions, reminds me when they do 3d scans of mummies in some tv shows.
