Deleted31005User
This is the fourth time I am asking this question:Can we upload for example only an .esp file and then refer to another website where the .bsa file is located that contains all our assets that we made ourself with paid-for programs. First Answer I got from Dark0ne was: "That's up to you" (read second reply in picture) Second time I tried asking this in this thread, it did not get answered and got locked instantly.I did as moderator Pickysaurus instructed me, I asked the question in the thread he referred me to, to which they never gave an answer. So here is my attempting to ask yet again. "That's up to you" certainly is not a "no""That's up to you" implies to me I can choose, its allowed but its my choice to do it or not, its not a "no", but since every attempt I made to get clarification on this got totally locked and ignored I'm starting to wander whats going on.I'm about to confirm my deletion form and I would very much like Staff to confirm we can indeed do this, so that I will not base my entire deletion form on a lie. And may I remind Nexus that there are already tons of mods on Nexus that refer to other websites with links for files the users must get in order for the mod to work, simplest example would be SKSE for Skyrim that almost all mods with advanced scripting require, that too, is an offsite requirement that basically ALL users must get for most mods to function.SKSE is just the simplest example I could come up with, it in fact has its own page here on Nexus too, with 0 files and a link to their offsite location, there are many, many more mods that link to offsite resources for various reasons. BigBizkit
This is the fourth time I am asking this question:And this is the fourth and final time it is being answered. Just like all your other questions you claim have gone unanswered, if you read the responses, you will notice they have been addressed. As you stated yourself, Robin (Dark0ne) and Mike (Pickysaurus) have addressed your question. A mod page needs to host a playable mod/file as per our File Submission Guidelines. Whether you want to reupload a functional esp and link to the bsa on a different site is up to you. The bsa just needs to be in line with our guidelines as well i.e. it cannot contain pirated content or content that could not be hosted on our site. With that said I am closing this with a final note: you do not need to and should not create another thread every time you'd like to repeat a question. That's what e.g. the main thread you linked is for. Alternatively, you can PM me if you have further questions.
