onewithoutasoul
So I know this has been covered a bunch, but I can't seem to find an actual fix. I wasn't paying attention at the time, but when I left 101, I didn't get any of the DLC quests to pop up. Trying to go do one now, and it's occurred to me that I have none of the quests. I have done the following: -Verified that the ESM and BSA files from each DLC are in my data folder(they were already there, without any intervention on my side) -Tried running the game without FOSE, to get the DLC to download. It only does it for new characters, it seems my current saves aren't associated with my G4WL account(makes sense) But even if I copy those saves to my G4WL account folder, the DLC does not start -Reinstalled. Started a new character. Made sure the DLC quests popped up. Then I fired it up using FOSE, and still no DLC. -I'm on the latest version from Steam. As far as mods go, I'm running FWE and the 20th Century Weapons mod, with the correct(pretty sure at least) load order.Anyone have any ideas? This is my first time using a mod in FO3 with FOSE. Used many in New Vegas without issue(obviously, no G4WL being a d-bag) I mean, it's obvious to me that the DLC isn't available because I'm not authenticated, but the fix has always been to just move it from the XLive DLC folder to Data. That's already done, and yet I still get nothing. It's a bit insane, because someone who pirates the darn thing can use FOSE and associated mods, but in paying for it, I can't? Blargh, I say! Edit: Oh and I'm running Windows 7 64, with the game installed on an additional drive: F:Steam\SteamApps\Common\Fallout 3 GOTY or some such. Basically, not under Program Files. M48A5
What is your load order? Are you using a mod manager? If not, are the DLCs activated in "DATA"?

luthienanarion
As best as I remember, FWE removes those pop-up messages and delays the quests from starting until you get near their starting points.

I just checked the Fallout 3 Wanderers Edition website and there is no mention of a delayed notification of the DLC quests. I am at a loss as to what the problem could be. I have been using FOSE and FWE for years without this problem.
onewithoutasoul
Weird right? Everywhere I look, I've done what should be done to correct it. If I launch without FOSE or any mods checked, it works. But not on the character I had initially started. I'll try starting a new character with the mods enabled, and see if that changes anything... onewithoutasoul
I just had a thought, maybe the DLC is loaded, but the quests aren't working? I just used the console to test that out. I gave myself the winterized power armor from Anchorage. It worked fine. So wtf? Edit: Just manually edited the console to add the Anchorage starter quest....then BOOM, they all loaded. I've made no other changes. Edited July 5, 2013 by onewithoutasoul
luthienanarion
Perhaps it was FOOK that did that... I haven't played Fallout 3 since long before Remastered existed. I downloaded and examined the FWE plugins, and they just change the popup message boxes into regular top-left-corner messages as far as I can tell. If you're using the alternate start and start the game in another location, try fast-traveling to Vault 101 to see if the quests trigger.
