Force Sheath Before Changing Weapons

So it's not exactly what was wanted in the OP, but it does something similar. When you unequip or switch a weapon that is drawn (through menu or favs), the drawn weapon is dropped. If you sheath the weapon before switching/unequipping then the item remains in your inventory. It also works with torches, and it drops lit torches! Very handy if you quickly swap weapons for battle in a cave! Still fixing a phys bug with dropped torch, but it should be done soon! Watch the video, it actually looks very cool and immersive!

This should also fix the Armed to the Tooth issue! And it makes more sense than your weapon disappearing like in vanilla. In real life you would drop your weapon or torch and quickly grab a new one (if you were in a rush, aka intense combat) rather than sheathing a weapon and getting out a new one.

Edit: Also, sorry for any lag in the video recording, my computer was running a scheduled virus scan -_-

I just saw your video and I have to say, I am REALLY looking forward to your mod.

The only thing that I think would be nice of you to implement in faster sheathing animation during combat.

I do not know of it is possible or not, but it would really make your mod perfect.

Keep up the good work!

But... can you sheath torches?

I honestly don't remember being able to have the torch equipped but sheaved.

Wouldn't that mean that every time the player wants to switch from Torch to something else, he/she will drop the torch on the floor?

No you cannot sheathe a torch, but it doesn't drop it if your main weapon is sheathed. I personally find it very annoying when entering combat in cave. You have to unequip your torch if you want your shield or secondary weapon, leaving you in the dark while fighting. This lets you drop a lit torch when you switch weapons (in vanilla all dropped torched aren't lit unless you leave and come back to an area).

Well it's done :D I've also managed to fix Armed to the Teeth - Easy without the equipment dropping. There's a full MCM menu which has 4 options. First allows you to toggle Geared Up (aka Armed to the Teeth - Easy). You can toggle it any time, even while playing, in the MCM menu without changing the INI at all. The second option allows you to turn of the realistic unequiping, which makes you drop weapons/torches/shields if you swap/unequip them while they are drawn. The third allows you to toggle on/off lit torches, which allows you to drop lit torches. All torches dropped, whether done from the realistic unequiping or from you dropping them in you inventory, are lit! Option 2 and 3 are great for quickly switching to your weapons from a torch while in a dark area, because you drop your lit torch when you quick swap weapons. Everything works completely whether you use you inventory, the favourites, menu, hotkeys, or whatever! Option 4 is a safe clean uninstall button. The Geared Up (ATTT-E) problem is always solved, doesn't matter what options are on or off. There is no more strange effects when swapping weapons that are drawn!!! :D

I'll put it up on the Nexus soon (tomorrow if I have time) with a video and some pics!
