Unable to load CTL File

Recommended Posts

Before this happened, I had CS on and Nexus Mod manager on, but when I put my computer on sleep about an hour or so later, my monitor, didn't go on, I tried to fix it and nothing, so I had to shut down the hard way, restart it. After I turned it back on and go on to my desktop. I waited for a bit then I clicked on TES IV: Construction Set but I got this error said: Unable to load CTL file, cannot load the atmosphere model, stars, clouds, then it waits on the Data/Oblivion.esm once I cancelled that it waits on a mod, then I cancelled that and it crashes. So I looked it up on google and it doesn't help. Unfortunately, I had to uninstall it and reinstall it, Oblivion and CS, but it didn't work. So I looked it up on google again. On this site: http://chorrol.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4633&mode=threaded&pid=127291 : "Unable to load CTL file" errors mean the CS can't find resources it is looking for. If you have a ConstructionSet.ini file, check that the file names listed in the sArchiveList entry match the file names for the base Oblivion resource BSAs. They must also match the same entries in the sArchiveList section in Oblivion.ini, as well.

Also, make sure you have installed the construction set in the same place as Oblivion

Unfortunately I tried that. I looked at the Sarchivelist on ConstructionSet.ini and Oblivion it looks like it's all smush up, but when I copied it and paste it on here, it's all right and stuff. I have no idea that it's supposed to match and stuff. Tell if they match or not and tell me what I should do.

I have no idea what am I supposed to do if it did the Unable to load CTL file. But the TES ConstructionSet.exe is in Oblivion where Oblivion.exe is, it is not in the Data folder and the Program files. I was working on my mod before this happened.

Close the CS and delete your ConstructionSet.ini file, then restart the CS to rebuild the ini file. Now quit the CS again, and check that the SArchilveList= is the same as:

SArchiveList=ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, BSARedirection.bsa, Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa, Oblivion - Sounds.bsa, Oblivion - Voices1.bsa, Oblivion - Voices2.bsa, Oblivion - Misc.bsa

Nvm, I think I got it since yesterday, I think it was one of the mods and oblivion, I had to uninstall construction Set and Oblivion and Re-installing them and delete one mod that said to wait, etc.
