Blimp

When westwood was adquired by EA they were developing an fps based on red alert thus continuing the story of the fallen soviet empire. Later was oriented into the red alert 2 universe and finally got cancelled.

After being cancelled they released some of the assets that were used in the alpha version (it seems it can even be called a beta in that state of development). That assets came in gmax or w3d format. :thanks:

I extracted and exported some of them to 3ds. So this is the blimp that was to be ingame.

It has over 10000 polys and comes with tga textures.

So if someone is looking for a blimp here´s a good model given by those wonder full westwood studios.

WHY HAS NOBODY MADE A BLIMP YET!?!?! WHHYYY?!? :(

cause I think that would be hardly something that would have surrvived Nuclear war.

Underground base?

Would be cool. And if you are not convinced look there are numerous underground bases in fallout 3.

And actually, what about all those other nuclear warheads that are left over in that storage near the Satcom arrays? They were completely unasploded. Plus I was thinking german blimps, kinda for a WWIII mod....

Nothing like watching the Enclave toasting up nazi's with lasers..

I have suggested the idea of the Commonwealth using an airship to transport citizens and goods to and from Rivet City (landing on the flight deck) and perhaps other locations. Might explain how Zimmer got to the DC Wastelands and how he returned to them with his android bodyguard. A version of your blimp would suit such an idea greatly though how much it would needed to be altered I am not sure. Would not carry anybody but Commonwealth citizens so as to explain why Wastelanders can't use it to leave the DC Wastelands.

Anyway, I like the blimp but I also like playing the games that inspired it.
