Refurbish DLC problems

Recommended Posts

Hi, Ive checked the other refurbish dlc thread and ive installed the crowded cities and refurbish esps and put the dowloaded files in my data folder but still cannot load point lookout through my FOOK2 hotkey without the refurbish notive popping up repeatedly.

THis is my FOMM loadout. Im probably missing something obvious so dont be too mean, im no computer expert.

Thanks :-D

Ive got it down to jut these two now and its still failing. Ive checked the readme for them both:

Unpack the Data folder into your game folder.
Start FOMM or FO3 launcher and check CrowdedCities_v2.esp
OR, if you want less NPCs, check CrowdedCities_v2_lessNPCs.esp

If you downloaded previous version just overwrite the file.

&

Load after CrowdedCities_v2.esp

Without the compatibility patch the user will experience Refurbish DLC option scripts from
FOOK2 running with no way to stop them.

Please go back to MTC Wasteland Travellers mod page and read the installation process. Read all of it. You do not have it properly installed. If you do not follow the mod author's installation instructions you will have a problem with the mods. You have also disabled and deleted the Refurbish.esp and left in the CrowdedCities, RefurbishDLC - patch.esp. The patch will be looking for the Refurbish mod and when it cannot find it, the game will crash.

No, he has it right in his second post.

The "CrowdedCities, RefurbishDLC - patch.esp" is not dependent on any of the Refurbish DLC plugins. Refurbish DLC injects itsself over unused items in the main "Fallout3.esm". Crowded Cities re-implements some of those unused items. The compatitbility patch clones those unused items so that Crowded Cities can use the clones and Refurbish DLC can keep injecting over the originals.

The injections are used as tokens so that multiple mods can reference them without having Refurbish DLC as a master. FOOK2 has Refurbish DLC integrated and uses those tokens. The compatibility patch is needed so that when Crowded Cities spawns a re-implemented item of children's clothing FOOK2 or Refurbish DLC does not see it as a menu token.

All that said...where are your FOOK2 hotfixes? They are not optional.

Progress :-) i can activate some of the DLC in the fook key menu but not the point lookout one; that allows me to enable/disable enclave in that area and i think it had a force start option which i clicked but hasnt come up with anything...

The data folder has the BSA and ESM files btw

Fallout3.esm

Anchorage.esm

ThePitt.esm

BrokenSteel.esm

PointLookout.esm

Zeta.esm

CALIBR.esm

FOOK2 - Main.ESM

FOOK2 - [DIK] DLC Improvement Kit.ESM

<mods FOOK2 can override>

<Crowded Cities and the compatibility patch can go here>

FOOK2 - Main.esp

FOOK2 - [DIK] DLC Improvement Kit.esp

FOOK2 - Main [Hotfix].esp

FOOK2 - DIK [Hotfix].esp

<mods that can override FOOK2>

<your merged patch>

You should not have "Refurbishes [ALL].esp" enabled. FOOK2 1.2 Open Beta has Refurbish DLC completely integrated. I am not sure how it will react with both mods enabled.

If you still can not get Point Lookout to force start:

Visit the Muddy Rudder in Rivet City and talk to her mother.
