Troublesome Mod (Dark Alinor)

Getting this one mod to work has been both annoying and unsuccessful. Everything I've tried just does not work and I haven't found someone with a similar problem. The problem being that the boots and leggings make their respective body part invisible while the cuirass crashes on equip, though I thought at one point it didn't crash but was still invisible.

Hopefully someone here knows the solution to this problem as I've tried:

Changing the texture paths from "..\..\..\textures\" to "textures\" and "..\textures\" as suggested in the posts. Nothing.

If I install SLWA then the Alinor Armor works fine as it replaces the one from Dark Alinor Armor with SLWA and works fine aside from them both having the same textures. Did this more as a test so I know the problem is Dark Alinor Armor.

I tried renaming the Dark Alinor specific .nif files, move them into the correct folder and change the texture file path in the CS to have both SLWA's Alinor Armor and Dark Alinor's armor at the same time. The SLWA was still fine but Dark Alinor was back to having the same problem.

I have access to Oblivion CS and Nifskope but I'm not familiar with them.

Help is appreciated.

You have to load the 2 armor parts into Nifskope and when you click them, the right Branch will become selected. Open that branch with the Arrow next to the NiTriStrips (Or NiTriShape) and then click the arrow next to the NiTexturingProperty and click the purple flower right to the path to the texture. Choose the right texture in the file selector and save.

Texture paths are never shown in CS, only the path to the mesh and the icon as it is not there you change them as they are stored into the NIF (Mesh)

try opening the nif file in nifskope and ensure that it's valid.

nifskope should show the appropriate parameters ... i've had probs w/ exporting and importing, but no big issue to fix.

NiNode (SceneRoot)
NiTriStrips

NiTexturingProperty

NiSourceTexture(%gameroot%/textures/...) ... it goes w/o saying, this isn't a protected directory, is it? UAC and all.

invisible usually means something attached to that body part, boots ... yet it sounds like lower body. go into data/meshes/_male/ ... should be *lowerbody.nif. if it's not there, extract it from oblivion - meshes.bsa ... in your data directory. bsa commader will extract it fine. *lowerbody.nif already has a texture path set for the disclothed body portion. just point it to the cuirass and see if it shows correctly, changing it back afterwards, as this is the 3rd person view. exit, don't save should suffice.

if you're using a custom body style, it can produce clipping, but rarely the entire portion of a body missing. head, upper body, lower body, hands, feet.

remember, it can be anything that attaches itself to the lower body, which can include just about anything ... nifskope should be sufficient in eliminating anything else.

I'm not sure how one validates a nif file through nifskope as I've never used it until this mod gave me trouble. I've been using it to change the texture paths but that's the extent of my knowledge of nifskope.

The texture path shouldn't be in a protected folder otherwise the other dozen or so armors wouldn't work either, but they're fine.

The current lowerbody.nif crashes nifskope but it's from the ocov2 seamless mod but when I open femalelowerbody.nif and apply the cuirass texture I see a texture that's not white but it looks ugly, I'm assuming that is supposed to happen as it's not mapped for legs.

Body shape is HGEC but all that would do if incompatible is cause clipping.

It just baffles me that a mod that shares the same armor with different textures doesn't work (Dark Alinor) but the original does (sentinel legendary weapons and armor) and if SLWA is after Dark Alinor, the textures of SLWA work fine on both (cause they both use the same nif files but different texture paths).
