10mm Reskin Issue

So, I've recently been trying to retexture the New Vegas 10mm pistol. I addd some text to the slide and it looks fine from one side. However, on the other it has been inverted (presumingly because New Vegas mirrors textures). Is there a way for me to get around this? I'm not really very experienced in this area and if I can avoid it, I really don't want to have to make a fresh model or mesh.

 

(Sorry if I havn't tagged correctly, kinda new here :P)

Can I get a bit more instriction about that? I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to Nifscope/Blender.i

is that a word?

they gave me an idea of how to do stuff in blender. nifscope was a whole different creature but you can edit UV maps in it too.
