AlacrityFitzugh
I have FNIS and Skyrim poses. Love them both, but one of them has my PC in a twirling idle when standing still, weapon sheathed, which is cool except when using "showracemenu". I'm trying out different face/race mods and have been using showracemenu to see the effects, but it's ridiculously hard, 'cause the PC keeps twirling her head around. Anybody know how to get back the regular idle, at least temporarily?
Kenmurikumo
remove the twirling animation mod. or maybe try a self posing mod, then while your character is posed, change your stuff. Also "showracemenu" will ruin your character skills if you change races. (happened to me. Found out the hard way...)
AlacrityFitzugh
Thanks, that's what I've decided to do, but I noticed that all the npc's are doing it too.....even the males, which looks ridiculous. The idle seems to be in the saves, maybe in the .skse files. I've been replacing mt_idle.hkx with the defaultfemale.hkx, but only for showracemenu. It'll do for now. myztikrice
Idles are not saved into savegames. All animations are in the Data/meshes/character/animations folder. Edited July 16, 2013 by myztikrice
Vulon
Sounds like the default TBBP idle. It definitely shouldn't be affecting the males. The defaultfemale.hkx should successfully override the TBBP idle as long as it's in the correct folder.
Montes21
I'm having the same problem. does anyone know an exact name of the mod or mods that cause this
myztikrice
Like Vulon said two years ago TBBP has a twirl animation and so does XP32 Skeleton if you choose one I think. You can also disable idle animations in RaceMenu now Edited July 20, 2015 by myztikrice
IWokeUpDead
What I found works:Go to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Meshes\actors\character\animations and remove the female folder from there. It will basically remove all of the dumb twirl animations from the game and go back to default.

I was getting frustrated with that nonsensical spinning. I found that just deleting mt_idle.hkx from the female folder is enough to stop the twirling, while preserving the other feminine animations.
