A Helping Hand: MODDING CREW WANTED.

Hello! As you might be able to tell, I am looking for certain individuals interesting in working on a mod with myself. The mod I am currently working on, is very ambitious, at best, and has a lot of potential. It is a "quest' mod, almost a total conversion mod, loaded with new npcs, thriving story lines, new factions and reputation, of course, new weapons, and even new locations, which, by the way, some outside of the Mojave Desert, or even the United States, itself!!! Along with all new perks, radio stations, etc. I can't go into too much detail about this mod, due mainly to the fact it is still very early in development, although, some major work has been done already. I am willing to pitch the idea to anyone who is interested, given that they simply "PM" me asking for more information, as far as story and features go.

 

WHAT AM I LOOKING FOR EXACTLY?

 

*Mainly, I'd prefer people who have previously worked on other mods before, (References, would be greatly appreciated), specifically any major "Quest" mods, or "New Lands" mods, or anyone have a deep and well understanding of scripting, and can perform quest scripting,etc.

*I would also be interested in having people who are able to write Dialogue for the NPC's as well as (eventually), being able to voice and lip sync, said characters. But as of right now, all I'm looking for is people who can write Dialogue.

* MODELERS AND TEXTURERS!!!! - These would be very essential!!!! Although I will prefer anyone who has experience in both of these fields, I am willing to take anyone who has a proficiency and has a good understanding of Nifskope and Gimp, AT LEAST. If you use photoshop, etc. thats great too! Also anyone who make custom models using Blender, etc. from scratch, THAT'S AWESOME!

* Dedicated Modders. I understand some of the work can be tedious, etc. but overall, I'm looking forward to creating a KICK ASS mod, with a great bunch of people, and who are dedicated and willing to put in the work into this Mod.

What you should do is when you have your "crew" assign them different tasks to do. For example "Crew Member 1" does quests and so on when that person does the quest others can work on something else. I would help you but I am kind of tied down to my mod and helping someone else with their mod. But If you are stuck with anything give me a PM and I will be glad to help you.

Of course, thank you!!! :D but yeah thats what I'm looking for, I'm not expecting everyone to meet all of those requirements, so long as, there really good at one of the things on the list, but if I get a Jack of all trades, so to speak, well, I'll be damned, I lucked out then, hahaha.

I saw in the list "Lip Syncing" I can help you with that its a pain to begin but once you get the hang of it your fine. Everything else can be done in a good amount of time. Except the 3d modeling as you would have to make the mesh then texture it then put it in nifskope to make it a .NIF, if its a weapon then you would have to rig it. That would take some time. I recommend starting with the quest and write your ideas out. Once your quest is written up this will be the backbone for your mod. Good word of advice anything that comes into mind write it down(or type) because most likely you will forget. Like with me I wanted to do a radio station but know I have added quests, locations and NPC's so the most simple ideas bloom into more advanced and more in-depth story driven mods. Like I said earlier Stuck on anything I will go through it with you on here or If you need small things done like texturing or Dialogue I can chip in.

Ahhh! I was waiting for someone to ask that!!! hahaha. Well, I'm a good writer, although, I hope that doesn't sound boastful, as well as I know my way around GImp, Nifskope, and Blender, as well as I know most of the in's and out's of the GECK. Although I do have some experiencing and training in Java Scripting, it is not sufficient to make things like big length quests mods, although I am capable of making short, "Fetch me this, and I'll give you this" kinds of quests. As far as dialogue goes, I don't have any problems doing it, but its rather tedious, and I would much rather have someone who is willing to take the concept or the idea of the actual story, and sort of "Run with it" so to speak, lol, and create minor NPC's with interesting dialogue, as well as the other new custom NPC's, to have Dialogue, that would follow suit with the whole concept of the story of the mod. I've been working on this mod for roughly a year now. it mainly started off as a gun mod, then I followed suit and said, Well, now that I got a gun, now I'm gonna need a place to put it right? So then it became a house mod, and almost like "if you gave a mouse a cookie," one thing lead to another, and suddenly it became a giant partial conversion mod. Like I said, it very ambitious, has a great story, and a lot of potential, but unfortunately, this is not a one man job.

Ummm you forgot the most important part of your pitch, which is why would anyone want to help you. In other words if your going to sell it, what is it your selling? What's the story brother? If you get people interested in a great story, they will help. If you ask for help without even whetting anyone's appetite, I can't imagine anybody excited to join in.

Bonnie Springs. It all begins in Bonnie Springs. You reach a town ridden, with feral ghouls, military vehicles, and dead bodies of the towns people, slaughtered across the town. One name keeps coming up as you investigate through the town..."Baron." As you meet the different new factions, The United States Armed Forces, or the USAF for short, a frozen army from the Great War, mysteriously awaken, coming back, restoring pre-war order throughout the Wasteland. The Communist Revival Party, lead through leaders from Moscow, (Which you will be able to travel to in the mod!!!), and through the thriving citizens of Vault 24, whose vault experiment, was to see if Communism was truly successful, through the means of installing a Communist Rule throughout the Vault. This group is the fierce rival of the USAF, but let me just state this, things aren't black and white, there is no good or bad side, both of these groups have there positives and negatives and moral dilemmas you will have to deal with... Or will you? and finally, "The Phoenix," a Enclave splinter group, largely anonymous, and whose intentions are largely unknown. Are they a friend or foe? You'll have to wait and see! Through out all of this, you learn more and more about the mysterious figure, simply known as "The Baron," and his intentions towards the future of the Mojave!!! This mod will feature tons, of new guns, new perks, new companions who will strongly contribute to the story line, new locations, in and out of the United States! and TONS of new features!!!! ----
