Strokend
I've noticed that when you're being chased by anything, especially an entity that uses melee, jumping over a one foot wide gap, or down a one foot deep cliff, will cause the entity to stop in their tracks, turn around, and go the long way around. Case in point, the Draugr Overlord guarding the first wordwall, if you go back to the river, jump down, and then jump onto the rock as he's getting close, he will turn around, cross the bridge, and attempt to reach you again. He has trouble even using his shout if you use this trick. What I want is a mod that allows mobs to pathfind with jump intelligence--tricky, glitchy jumps obviously would not be included in pathfinding, I get this, but a giant of all things being scared to jump two feet down to chase you is just rediculous. olha2
while the idea is great i think that it will either be very glitchy or very recourse demanding (with that i mean like the will need to have every NPC check if the can jump or not each time)
Strokend
Couldn't pathfinding itself be modified to include a limited (perhaps not full jump) airtime in their travel, through SKSE or something? Heck, I wouldn't mind if it sometimes tells them they can jump it when they really can't (perhaps some minor obstruction blocks them from finishing the jump), it would be somewhat more realistic to have people try to make jumps and occasionally fail. It's what the exploration-enjoying player does all the time.
