I open the door and there is ..... .nothing on the other side but gray. I step through anyway and I end up back in the top room. My mod list is in my signature. phoneyLogic Posted February 20, 2009 Share Posted February 20, 2009 seems to me that a g.e.c.k. mod is causing this. try to disable all and have a look at Casey's. maybe someone moved / or harmed the data.___________________________________________________________________________ you can also load g.e.c.k. with all the modsstart g.e.c.k. -> file -> data ... now you see all mods select a mod and press the details... then you`ll see a window with everything the mod effectssort all entries to type in the window above by clicking typesearch in the type "Cell" on the left side the location its simply called Vault112a and Vault112Garage so you can find out wich mod is effecting the vault good luck by doing this ;) is a lot of searching... cheers(please tell me the result and how you come along with it) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ethre Posted February 26, 2009 Share Posted February 26, 2009 Did you get it fixed Michlo? Something must be removing the lower part of the cell (obviously). I can explain the teleportation part - when you get too far from objects (or perhaps the grids), you automatically get moved back to the nearest location. You can test it out using TCL if you want to - you'll pop back if you get too far away. So yes, something definitely was dirty. Beyond that, I am not certain. I didn't have time this weekend to try the GECK method so I'm hoping to still try that this weekend. If I can't figure it out with that, hopefully I can find the code for a destination inside the vault and just teleport in. This seems a good time to mention, though that the latest mod order sorter seems to have helped in other ways as I very rarely crash now. Cheers. Michlo Posted March 3, 2009 Author Share Posted March 3, 2009 Here was my post in the mod thread: ______________________________________________________________________ I'm afraid there is a major bug with the mod (which you know I love, btw). *** SPOILER AHEAD *** With your mod activated, when you go beneath the garage to enter Vault 112, it doesn't exist. When you open the metal door, there is just a void beyond and if you step into the void, you are returned upstairs. This makes completing the quest rather impossible of course. I hope you can get this fixed. Cheers. Edit - Ah, now that I go through Dall's apartment again (since I had to deactivate it), it is obvious why. The 112 vault is used in this mod. I advise getting past the 112 vault stage of the quest before enabling Dall's until this can be fixed. Edit - Mary Wong and Jason Carter are still walking about with red exclamation marks and VIP's second secretary Kathe Sommers has an invisible body. :) _______________________________ And Dall's responses: Michlo, SpookyCat thanks guys but fantom door problems should be now history/resolved with v1.0 Update. It was not me who did it but CS GECK which for some reason is making bogus door links to every cell I have visited/checked while working!? As for why I still have no clue. I have managed to clean the most of that crap and now there should not be any more of these broken door links but with FO3/GECK combo there might be something else somewhere I missed / still have not found work-around. Tyah! SpookyCat you are quite right that one was still in there but try this new v1.1 from which this unwanted ref/link is now removed. Hopefully that was last one of this pesky doors.
