[LE] Creating a dismiss sandbox location for a follower that's different from their original spawn location?

I've been making a follower using a custom follower framework and it's been working fine, but the only thing is they're initially placed in the wilderness and I'd like their dismissal location to be somewhere else. Would I have to create a variable that changes from 0 to 1 once the follower has met the player, and then create a sandbox ai package at the desired location once that variable is flipped to 1? Or is there a simpler way to do go about it?
