GlitchGirl
... was to scour this site to add some mods make it more desireable from the getgo. xD Now, the mod's I've used so far are for the most part cosmetic and they are as follows: Got the HD Beautification mod (Project Beauty)Cool Hair 41 (Adds hair)Dimonized Type 3HairPack v 2_2 As far as other mods go I just downloaded the practice makes perfect mod to use eventually, this being because I've always enjoyed the games where using a skill will raise it as opposed to only having a set amount of points which you distribute every time you level. So I'm wondering if I should just subject myself to the game with the vanilla skill system in place the first time for "the full experience" or whether I should just add this mod into the mix. That being said, does anyone know of any other nifty visual enhancements, or character addons I could use? ("Adult mods" are fine if it looks good... not looking for sexual gratification in this game, but I like customization/"customizability" :) ) Thanks! DZMaven
If you're new to the games, I'd play them a bit with the vanilla system just so you have a better idea what changes you'd want to make with gameplay altering mods. There's lots of clothing/armor mods for the Type3; I can't make any specific recommendations since I'm probably one of the few who doesn't use the type3. It has own search category so finding things shouldn't be hard. Although if you want a better male body replacer, there is breezes FO3 males. For environmental mods I'd look at Fellout or Project Reality with nmc's texture packs. Greenworld really changes the feel of the game, adding trees everywhere.Lots of character look add-ons abound, but the big packs do tend to conflict with one another. Since you got a good set of hair packs, how some eyepacks? Riven's adds a lot: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/5304/? You might have to do a merged patch to get it work with Project Beauty. Have fun.
GlitchGirl
Oh wow, thank you so much! The eyepack is DEFINITELY a nice idea and as far as beautification went I did go ahead and added DCMoods, BA_WastelandRestoration, and NMC's Texture Pack. The above being said, I'm really looking at Greenworld as opposed to BA_Wasteland restoration because I would like to see the greener grass, or chances are I could just add that right in. I'll check out breeze's FO3 males, but I will most definitely download and add the eyepacks now. Thanks again for the awesome suggestions. :)
whodat1
This mod doesn't change gameplay, but it probably is one of the best mods I ever downloaded for FO3 --- CASM. Install this mod, disable the FO3 autosave and your game will not only crash less (and it will crash) but when it does you'll find that the last save was only moments before it crashed.
