darkdill
I'm sure there must be at least one mod out there that lets you use the Open spell similar to past Elder Scrolls games, such that you cast it directly on a chest or door to unlock it (unless it requires a key). Unfortunately, with all the various spell mods out there, going through all the various mods would be a pain. Does anyone know of a mod that does this? SeraphimKensai
I've written a spell that opens locks, but it doesn't give a projectile at the target, what it does is target the self and applies a temporary perk which gives an unlock option similar to the Tower: Unlock standing stone. I know that technique works and is used by quite a few modders. an example of another's use of a similar spell would be found in the apocalypse spell package. Shadeybladey
There are loads of spell packs that include Open as well as Levitate, Mark/Recall etc. If you search the Nexus for "Open Lock" you'll find 8 mods. The most recently updated are: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36073/ http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9218/ Fantastic thing, that new-fangled search engine. ~.~

Only thing that I might want to alter for it is an extra script that causes you to sacrifice a lockpick every time you use the spell to unlock something (whether you succeed or not). That way, even if I'm a mage, I'd still have a reason to get lockpicks.
