The warning was given for the following reason: Forum vigilantism and post attacking another member. This would typically get you banned but as I think you were ultimately trying to do a good thing (but a really lousy way to do it) you will receive a somewhat harsh formal warning. I hope that this time will allow you to review the Terms of Service of this site and post accordingly in the future.
