My Skyrim Keeps Freezing

Well, I have this for a long time, because of this I haven't been able to finish the DLC's campaign's or even beat the main campaign recently. First I played Skyrim I wasn't used to use mods and stuff, so the only problems I had were bugs and stuff.

 

When I got interested in playing Skyrim again I started using mods, and I tried some ENB too, some CTD's happened, but the major problem is: When I achieve a number of mods (40-60), my game just keep freezing, and it doesn't matter which mods, I have so I don't really know if the mods are the problem, I don't think it could be my hardware which is at least decent.

 

I already formated my computer which means reinstalling Skyrim and the mods.

And creating a new character which worked for the first 2-3 hours, but then it started again.

And my friend had the same problem, he just created a new character after deactivating all his mods and reinstalling the game.

Hope this is just a problem. And I'm not just doomed.

Freezes are usually caused by memory issues.

You don't give information about your system, so I can only speak generally.

It may be that you have set your graphics too high or are using too many hi-res textures/effects/enb mods for your graphics card resources.

It might also be that you are using too many mods that add spawns, new NPCs, etc.

It also might be that you have made changes to your prefs.ini file (like increasing your ugridstoload, for example) that is placing too much of a burden on your system or the game engine

Or, it might be that you are running too many background services, processes and/or applications that are taking up resources that your game needs.

Yeah, I think you're problaby right, I have 4gb RAM and only 1gb VRAM, I used the Skyrim Perfomance Monitor, I noticed that the VRAM was almost at top everytime, but not always it would freeze, but I'll try exluding some mods of my game, I use interesting NPCs, it's a HUGE mod, thanks for the info! :biggrin:
