Birrii
Do you think that America will once be ruined, like In FO3?Do you think there will ever be a WW3?Do you think there will be Vaults? What things do you think in FO3 will ever be true? I've heard about a man in Russia that knew in 2001 that there would be a stockmarket crisis (what, unfortenately, was true), and now he has come with a conclusion that there will be a WW3 in 2014 (because of the crisis). but I do really hope not.Yes, I do believe that there will be a WW3.But that America will be ruined, that is something hard to believe. I do more likely think that small countries in Europe will be ruined, for example Luxemburg or/and Island (or is it called Iceland?). No, I don't think there will ever be Vaults, but I think something close to it will be created, something like bunkers, or something where der fuehrer was hiding, only much bigger. If it wouldn't though, then I'm completely sure that presidents and kings and people with high status will be hidden in such places. buddah
No, that kind of scenario no one wins. If it does, we can all just bend down and kiss our ass goodbye. The world as we know it, and yes I do Mean the whole world would be gone. Yes they all have a place to go that is considered safe, but in reality nothing would be safe. sumoftwosins
What I've always said is that power is derived from people. Whether they following willingly or you have to produce it through force. There are to many power individuals out there that aren't tied to governments. What is good about controlling oil or technology with no one to use it. What I do fear is people who don't care either way and would just prefer to watch the world burn. Yossarian22
Sorry, what make you think, america would survive and europe doesn't? Coz America has sooooo much high technologie or what? :wallbash: If russia, america and china throw their arsenal over the world, there wouldn't be much left. But the winning countries would probably be those, who aren't involve in the conflict or not important for military operations. Guess Southamerica and Africa would have a chance to survive. But I guess china, usa and India will destroy the world anyway, but without throwing a single bomb.

Yes, but the problem is, Africa and Southamerica have got bigger countries, and nothing worthy comes out of those countries in SA and Africa. that's why no one wants those countries. But in Europe, we've got much smaller countries. Luxemburg is not far away from germany. So if germany would be conquered, they probably would try to move on to conquer Luxemburg and France. In WW2, the Germans conquered Norway, even though if Norway didn't do anything (it's only later, when the Geramns conquered Norway, then the Norwegians started to make plans to free themselves, but that is a different story). frankc
Civilization is pretty fragile. It's hard for us to imagine the US being ruined, but I'm pretty sure the inhabitants of every other great power since Rome felt the same way - that their hegemony was forever. junin
If history teaches anything, it’s that history repeats itself. If you look back throughout our history you’ll see the proof of what I’m saying. Every empire will eventually fall and another will rise in its place. But Buddha is right. In that kind of scenario, no one wins. Do I think that there will be a WW3 and that one day the world will be like fallout? Hell no. Maybe I’m being overly optimistic, but I like to think that humanity has come pretty far and that we are beginning to see that we all have to live in this world and that the best way for us all to live is peacefully. Of course there will always be some SOBs who will trample all over other peoples human rights. Tyrants like Hitler or Sadam Husain who gassed his own people, but what aholes like that want is power. Even they understand that if they start a nuclear war there will be no one left for them to rule. Our biggest concern should be some lunatic who doesn’t have anything to lose. Someone who doesn’t care about wealth or power, all they want is to watch the world burn, but the chances of someone like that getting their hands on a nuclear arsenal is pretty slim, at least I hope so. Ironwood
I believe that one day there will be a WW III. I also think that it will start in the middle east (there always seems to be fighting over there). However, I do not believe that we will be stupid enough to destroy the world. There will most likely be massive destruction but not on the scale of Fallout. Human kind likes their luxery's to much and besides what would be the point of ruling a destroyed world. Well, that's a nice dream. How about if Pakistan and India gets in a Conflict, what at the moment isn't unrealistic... And don't forget, the power of nuclear bombs are today up to 500,000 tons compared to hiroshima bomb with around 13,000 tons.... and Hiroshima-Bomb was able to kill more than 100.000 people and had consequences over generations. Now imagine one of those 500,000 tons monsters. 1-2 would maybe be enough to have a catastrophal impact on the entire earth. You can't compare Tschernobyl or Hiroshima with such a bomb. And a nice dream too, that humanity is on the way to learn... I don't know you already recognized it, but we have more conflicts around the world than in any century before many of them highly against human rights, but it's a nice view for us industry nations to take the illusion, that we on a good way. The opposite is true, we on the way to crash against a wall with 200 speed and nobody really bother about it. Well yes, there are a few folks, that have 10 kinds of garbage-tons, or only eat vegetable, or donate money for plant rainforest trees or dont eat tuna. Good luck. 80% of Nations still use the Rivers for Garbage, rainforest is cut every day by a tousend squaremile and the sea is getting pretty empty. Some may say its pessimistic, but I've lived in a few countrys already and there is not much hope, that the future life will be much comfortable. junin
“Some may say it’s pessimistic, but I've lived in a few countries already and there is not much hope, that the future life will be much comfortable.” I understand what you’re saying, but I think you missed the point of what I was trying to say. What I said about humanity coming a long way is true. Go back just a few centuries and you would see that the life of the average human being wasn’t worth crap. For most people the average life expectancy was 45 years. By the time you were 20 you would be middle-aged. There is more conflict today than any other century… maybe but that’s because there is over 6 billion people on the world today. In the middle ages people would kill each other over a loaf of bread. People would go to public hangings and laugh and cheer while watching a man die. And I’m not talking about savages in some god forsaken *piehole* I’m talking about supposedly civilized people. As screwed up as we are today, and don’t get me wrong, I know we’re screwed up; the value of the average human being’s life has never been higher. I’m not blind to the fact that the world is a screwed up place. I spent 2 months living in a concentration camp when I was only 7 years old. Sleeping in the dirt and starving while sorunded by men with guns. I’ve been to places in this world where orphan children live in garbage dumps. But I also see the flipside. I see people marching to not to war, but in defense of the human rights of their fellow man. People risking life and limb traversing hostile lands in order to bring food and medicine for starving and sick children. We are human beings, we are nasty horrible creatures true, we still crowd around car crashes to get a glimpse of some horrible sight, but at least now most of us cringe instead of cheer. And we’re not stupid, and that’s really the point I was making. Yes there are wars. Yes there will be more. Yes Pakistan and India may get into a conflict and maybe one or both of those 2 nations might be stupid enough to use a nuclear bomb, but do you think if that were to happen that the US or some other country with nukes would also launch their missiles leaving the world a wasteland from pole to pole. I suppose it’s possible, but I doubt it.
