Pellape
Do you have textures as I might be able to make it? But I do need more than that screenshot as a base, well if you want to have something that looks a bit better that is at least. I must also add that it is strictly forbidden to port stuff from Black Ops 2 to Oblivion, no matter what it is and no permissions will be granted so it might not be exact as the original. I cannot promise that the gem will be semitransparent as glass is very hard to make or something that look like glass. I do think the gem and the 2 gems at the handle should be semitransparent right? My dvemer coffe maker is made that way though. There is tutorials how to make this your self as well and I can provide if you wanna try it as we sure need more players that know how to make this kind of stuff. The last weapon I tried to make is a version of the Stalhrem arrows in Skyrim, where I did fail to make the arrow top semistransparent. But it is possible to do it, I know. The arrow here is an Oblivion Iron Arrow retextured. Screenshot from Stahlrem armor in MOO May I suggest that you use Maskars Stahlrem Armor with it? It might be so that we can use this armor as base as well for that mace, at least the texture for the ore element but then we need permissions from Maskar to let you use that texture at all as he made it. I have permissions to use it for this arrow. To use that texture with your mace would require new permissions from Maskar. Is it a staff, mace or a hammer? You say it shots 9 times and how big is it 1-2m long? Knights of the Nine expanded do have such staffs, that does looks better if you ask me. Ayleid staffs with animated gems attached. Looks amazing. Pellape
Yes I can. The tutorials are mostly made for swords, but the Principe is still the same. So lets start with a sword and we see if we can find a staff turorial as well. Install Blender, latet version Install Niftools Nifexporter and importer, both v2.6.0 and v0.0.6 as 2.6 is able to import Oblivion meshes but 0.0.6 cannot as far as I know, well not 0.0.3 at least so test them both. v2.6 can export Nifs the old way which I will guide you through but 0.0.6 might be able to export a fully Oblivion mesh including collisions. But I do use Nifskope for adding collisions anyway. v0.0.3 exports a mesh so it gets 10 times bigger than normal and 2.6.0 as 10 times smaller so we need to test the bloody exporter settings. A mesh in Obliivion is 10 times bigger than normal so 1m in game is 10m in Blender. Install Nifskope and we get back to that amazing tool later, when you have a mesh to fix or play with. It is good to clean meshes and make them playable and also the tool we use to exchange textures with. For the tutorials, you only need Blender to start with. Get familiar with all the buttons, as you sure need them and all views. Like button E, Excrude vertice and the numeric keyboard for changing views and those is what I use mostly. Vertices is the connections between all lines in 3D. Part 2 I cannot find any good staff turorials but this one explains fast how to make one (Not beginner friendly video though) More tutorials When I made my axes and my hand scythe, I put the texture in a flat square and started to add a box and excruded it over the texture. I did start with a 12 side cylinder for my hand Scythe, making the blade in the same way as the axe is made or the way you make a sword. 2 Screenshots from Nifskope and the yellow lines are the collision. If the collision is red, something is wrong. The green lines are the visible object, without textures at these screenies though. Hmm... Red lines are mostly used with Static collisions and yellow is Havoc. I have to get back later for this... The Yellow collisions is from an Oblivion Iron axe, that I deleted and I kept the collisions and copied and pasted the NiTriShapes between 2 open Nifscopes but I will come back to that later as I do have a tutorial made for that part. How to get the bloody mesh to work in Oblivion. Do keep in mind that you will learn stuff in the tutorials that we cant apply in a Net Imerse game, like Oblivion, so applying textures is a pain in the butt in Blender but importing a base weapon to it, the texturing gets much easier as then we are able to add the textures the proper way. We will never be able to it without the Nif exporter 2.6.0 as far as I know. Installing the 2 importers and exporters is very very very easy. :D My favorite axe, that I am still using right now at this very moment :D The reason I made that axe in the first place, is to shop down trees for wood with MOO. Also do take a look at the KOTN Revelation and chack out that staff as well. I cannot see the staff here at this screenshot but it is a custom made Ayleid staff and it would be perfect as an Ice Staff really. I am 100% sure you can edit it for personal use, adding the stats you want to it really. KOTN Revelations is maybe the best quest mod I ever played, except the Spiral. KOTN is boring without it.
