Vindekarr
Title says it all. Went to download the new version of ENB today, and my antivirus software went berserk. Download actually contained spam software and no ENB. Anybody else experienced something similar? EDIT: The Skyrim ENB download is definitely compromised. I downloaded it into a quarantine zone, and it's got a bunch of nasties in it. I guess I should have expected as much from someone who's frightened to upload their work to the Nexus, but that's still completely illegal. Use ENB at your significant risk. ZeroKing
Nope, nothing wrong on my end. The reason why you're getting that compromise is because dll execution binary files are something seen as malware/spyware by certain antivirus. Scanned with ESET NOD32 and been using ENB for over 3 years. Edited July 23, 2013 by ZeroKing
Vindekarr
I was going off the mod's main page, the download I got contained an Indian spambot, and no ENB files at all. Most peculiar.
ZeroKing
Try this archive instead: ENB Binaries Archive from Beautiful Skyrim. I tested the site for any peculiar issues, and I got nothing wrong. Worse comes off..... then you can ask me which ENB version you want, I'll send you a copy. Vindekarr
Thanks mate, that worked fine. I have an old obsolete PC lying around from the early 2000s so I decided to download the virusey file just for fun. Turns out Avast was barking needlessly , it DID contain ENB, it also contained one of those stupid toolbars that a computer repair man usually installs. I don't know WHY it was packaged with ENB, but it wasn't much good as either a toolbar or malware. It was basically a stream of American advertising and very little news. It DID try something sneaky with my Email, but since the email I use for my online accounts is a free proxy account, all it got was some very, very, very dry communique from Steam. If you're gonna stick something extra in your downloads, at least make it fun! like a really diabolical virus that replaces all the windows sound effects with real loud porn sound effects, or makes the cursor 1X1 pixel across and black(did I just reveal too much about my satanical inner self?). This was just boring, I'm disapointed.
guenthar
Did you actually go to http://enbdev.com/ to get enb? I just downloaded it and there is nothing like you said in there. The only executable file in the is the enbinjector.exe for the injector version of enb. PS. I'm talking about the Skyrim version since that is what I downloaded. Raestloz
There are tons of ENB around, what version did you download and from where?
