AtrayusRuhn
I looked around and couldn't find an existing mod that fulfilled this objective, so if something like this already exists, please direct me to it. Skyrim is cold. Really cold. In a country whose climate ranges from biting winds to freezing blizzards, even Nords have no business wearing armor that leaves their chests, arms and legs completely exposed. Therefore, I'm seeking to modify several of the game's armor sets (most notably Hide and Studded armor, but a number of other sets as well) by adding pants and tunics/sleeves to them, as well as modifying some of the bracers to include gloves. Aside from aesthetic immersion, these changes will also have a significant impact on the player's ability to endure extreme cold and exposure to the elements when used in conjunction with hypothermia-related mods such as Frostfall's W.E.A.R. system. And also, it will fix the inconsistency of enemies and NPC's wearing barely any protection and somehow surviving in blizzards and freezing temperatures, while the player is forced to cover themselves up in order to endure the same conditions. Rather than model new armor pieces and create new textures for this, I'd prefer to simply incorporate existing pieces from other, more covering armor sets into the ones that need to be changed. For example, this is how I'd like to modify Hide armor: - Add a leathery chest-covering (possibly using the Imperial Light Armor cuirass - minus the red sleeves and skirt-like lower portion - beneath the hide armor's cross-belts)- Add sleeves (perhaps from Fur Armor or the Stormcloak Cuirass - can the Fur Armor female version's sleeves be resized to fit males?)- Add pants (possibly from the Stormcloak Cuirass or one of the Mantled Robes) beneath the hide skirt- Add gloves to the Hide Bracers (using the hand-pieces from Gloves, Fur Gauntlets, or Iron Gauntlets) Would anyone be interested in helping me with this, or perhaps even taking it on themselves? Jokerine
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23230/?I know it's not exactly what you want, but some armors here are more covering and could help with immersion. the hide armor does not look as different as you may want, though :(
AtrayusRuhn
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23230/?I know it's not exactly what you want, but some armors here are more covering and could help with immersion. the hide armor does not look as different as you may want, though  Yeah, that's not quite what I'm aiming for, but I do appreciate the reply. I'm going to start attempting to do this myself (mind you, I have zero experience with modding for Skyrim), but if anyone would like to help, please let me know. In particular, I'd like to know if it's possible to somehow resize/adjust the female versions of certain armor pieces to fit the male model? For instance, I like the sleeves on the female version of Fur Armor because they're leathery, fully-covering, and close-fitting (which means they'll fit beneath pauldrons like the ones on Leather armor). Can those be adjusted to fit the male model?
Jokerine
Sorry, I don't really know much either. But maybe if you contact the author of those mods, you may get a more helpful response :)
