ZeroSbr1
Too many too high res texture mods. Reduce your texture overhauls in size (eg. from 4K textures to 2K - most texture overhauls have a lower res version available). You're just overloading the engine (I'd guess). Also untick Official HighRes DLC 1&2 in your load order. Will unticking Official High Res 1 & 2 make a difference to the game if using Skyrim HD 2K lite? Also will this increase performance if I am somewhat close to max out VRAM? If I uncheck as well with this mess up my current save? Sorry not trying to steal the thread here. nop, the .bsa archives are already added to skyrim.ini, so they are being useless in your load order. they just confuse stuff. Bump. Can anyone help? Not without more info. Do you have SFO installed? Can you try and install the optional 2K LODs? Can you list all your installed texture packs, and also list your Skyrim.ini Yes I do have SFO installed, but not the main mod. Only the diversity esp. I've already installed the 2k LODs a long time ago. List of all texture packs? Well, I'll try: 1. SHD Retexture2. Solstheim landscape and furniture retexture3. All of the current Sexy series4. SFO (Without the main mod)5. High Quality LODs (hi res meshes and hi res SHD textures)6. Most of amidianborn Book of Silence7. WATER That's all I can remember off of the top of my head. I get the medium/low res versions of all retex mods when I can especially if it's a common texture. I've had all of these aforementioned mods in use for a while, and I doubt it's a VRAM problem, because I've disabled several mods that add new spawns/places and I still get infinite load screens when I load a game saved in an exterior cell. prod80
ok, for the fun of it, can you rename both your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini and create new ones using the skyrim launcher, and try with those? you have a lot of settings trying to determine your way of using your hardware.... perhaps something fails... since you don't have any large texture overhauls it's probably not the game breaching the 3.1gb limit on load... maybe you have some really bad mod loaded. have you checked in tes5edit on your conflicts? maybe you have a deep down dirty mod loaded somewhere very low in your load order breaking stuff to pieces. what is your OS / system? ZeroSbr1
Well, my OS is Windows 7 Professional x64. My specs: 8GB DDR3 RAM @ 1866 MHzNvidia Geforce GTX 650 1GBAMD FX-6300 Six-Core Processor @ 3.5GHz500GB HDD I've actually figured out the problem anyways. fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=3000.0 should be no bigger than 2000, at least for me. prod80
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS should be 500, 3000 is excessive... that why I asked for new ini's since it contains a lot of excessive settings :) also you hardware threads are excessive @ 6. Try 5 (which is the maximum afaik, never heard of 6 before) 3000 should still load, just it takes long to open your game. Some info here for papyrus ini settingshttp://www.creationkit.com/INI_Settings_(Papyrus)
ZeroSbr1
500 is default. Most decent guides recommend 2000. I'll try the threads at 5 though. EDIT: So I tried setting my threads to 5, and it worked at first, but then when I saved and quit, and tried to reload again, I got an infinite load screen again. ZeroSbr1
I generated new .inis, and it loaded at first. Then I applied all my "safe" tweaks, and it wouldn't load anymore. Should I start a new game?
ZeroSbr1
I seriously can't figure this out. It can't possibly be a lack of VRAM, because if it was wouldn't the game just crash when loading the area or when I walked around in it? The game is perfectly stable when it does run, so I doubt it. prod80
I generated new .inis, and it loaded at first. Then I applied all my "safe" tweaks, and it wouldn't load anymore. Should I start a new game? Doesn't that strongly suggest your safe tweaks are not that safe? Is default ini's are good then there's your likely cause... See if going from default ini's and working with this tweak guide helps; http://itcprosolutions.com/skyrimguides/tweak_guide.htm (don't click the url at page top, scroll down, it's more clear)No need to go through the Texture optimizing part, unless you want to. ZeroSbr1
I figured out the real cause I believe. The [MapMenu] tweaks. For some reason only some of the ones I used were safe. For whatever reason, the others just shut down my game. Now that that's out of the way, is there a fix for some textures in certain locations shifting in-game? Like I'll be walking towards something and the texture will move when I get to be a certain distance from it.
Gruftlord
do you have mods that enable parallax mapping on certain objects?shifting textures is a sign you either don't have an ENB or your ENB is not configured propperly to fix the parallax.
