Skyrim .ini adjustment problems.

Hello.Well, I am fairly new to modding Skyrim. Whenever an ENB or other mod that wants me to adjust settings in my .ini. I seem to be missing half the lines of text they want me to edit. Before and after installing the mod. Not sure if I was to actually add those lines of text in or not. When I added these text in, nothing seems to be different.

Currently trying to do the .ini tweaks from: http://www.rcrncommunity.com/five-quick-skyrim-tweaks-you-may-not-know

More than half the things there seriously aren't in my .ini.

So did I mess something up with the game or what?

Yes, add the new lines to your ini.

But DO NOT do this:

if you have 4GB of ram -> iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=2000000000
if you have 6GB of ram -> iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=3000000000
if you have 8GB of ram -> iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=4000000000

Sheesh, I was wondering where that misinformation was coming from!

Read here. I have troubleshooted dozens and dozens of users who's savegames were totally messed up because of extreme settings like those! Just because a few people report that the settings didn't break THEIR game doesn't mean it won't break YOURS, heh.

@steve40, I read a very good explanation of the problem that you gave somewhere in the forums. Can't seem to find it now. I am curious as to why on the linked page (CK) they're showing a max of 2147483647 and you're recommending 2457600 as max. Maybe that needs clearing up?

I think 2147483647 is the maximum value that a signed 32 bit integer can be. However, that's not a sane value to set for the Papyrus stack buffer.

Of course it is (signed 32 bit integer ) but something ought to be in the CK page, the warning doesn't really explain it well enough. Like you have said on a few occasions, just because you can doesn't mean your should
