Kiki981
After a loooong time I decided to install Oblivion again. I have no trouble installing mods. But this one gives me a headache. In mod description, there is no description how to install this mod (mod is called Flan base textures: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/41604?tab=forum). And even installation directory is wierd. Is someone using this mod? Hov can I get it to work?
Pellape
Do try to install it with Wrye Bash and also to be able to see textures in game that are outside the bsa, install SkyBSA and there is 2 other ways to make the textures visible in game but I do not recommend them but a couple of others at this forum will. It is up to you which method to use really but SkyBSA is the only one that made my DB armor to become visible as one example and Qarls TP3 that I used since he made the first release 2007 and it is still the best one. Qarl is a bloody genious and so is Wrye that made the first mod manager ever for TES and it was Morrowind 2004 and that version is called Wrye Mash. Wrye Bash will work for both Oblivion and Skyrim and a couple of more similar Net Immerse games. I think I had to install it separately for Skyrim and Oblivion though. Wrye only give support from Discord as he supports so many different games but I chatted with him there not long ago, asked him to find some old files I made 2006... The link to his Discord is at the Wrye Bash link I added at row 1m but only use it if you get any problems, which is very rare. What SkyBSA will do is to change the game to use the textures you install, otherwise it will ignore them and show the original ones. Damn that texture did scare me... ;) A bloody snake. No problems reported at this forum but make a message there and explain your problems or contact the author directly. DrakeTheDragon
Additionally, this is "not" a mod. It is just a package of resource files, mostly skin and face textures, both in DDS and other formats for you to edit and work with. A modders' resource. Installing this on its own will do nothing at all. You need to create your own plugin, create your own custom race, or edit an existing one, and assign those textures to the right slots.
