ZeonicGlory
Who knows? This might be happening for the Broken Steel DLC.
Waterdrop
Well, I thought Super mutants were only resistant to Radiation not Fully immune to it. Ghouls on the other hand are actually healed by it so why not send Charon in. After my first ever playthrough of the game I always wondered why he wouldn't go in for me. And out of curiosity, in the Fallout world can robots be harmed via system glitch-like damage or meltdowns/system or component degration from overdoeses of Radiation, Fully immune, or is it not specifically stated anywhere? And does overexposure to radiation as a ghoul, even though it heals you, speed up the Feral transformation? Oh and I support your Idea of allowing Fawkes in to finish off the final part of the main questline so the "Lone Wanderer" may continue his/her adventures as a mod. And If not Fawkes then Sergeant RL-3, or most preferably imo Charon.Sorry for somewhat offtopic questions, I have a habit of passively seeing loopholes in things.+Kudos for the Idea! Who can make Inventech5's Request a Reality?
Relativelybest
Well, I thought Super mutants were only resistant to Radiation not Fully immune to it. Seeing as there were super mutants on guard right outside the entrance to Vault 87, which had something like 3360 rads/second, I think it's fair to say they're either immune or so resistant it doesn't make any difference. Tredlort
I think a lot of people have wondered why Fawkes (or, for that matter, Sergeant RL-3) couldn't get the job done. Personally, I think that was the worst case of bad writing in the game by far.Maybe Bethesda made the game ending befor writing fawkes in game. And were lazy enough not to brother scriptor/voice actor/something other guy to make it so to happen.. :P

And were lazy enough not to brother scriptor/voice actor/something other guy to make it so to happen.. :P Regardless, it's still bad writing. At that point any decent author would have either scrapped Fawkes and the other rad-resistants altogether, thought of a solid reason why TLW and Lyons where the only ones available or -God forbid- make an alternative ending without the bittersweet sacrifice theme. When you find a huge plot hole -and they can't possibly have missed this one- you don't just shrug your shoulder and go: "Whatever." It's unprofessional. And the absolutely worst part of all this is that, going by what we've heard of Broken Steel, Bethesda apparently changed their minds and now have to retcon an ending that wasn't necessary in the first place. o.O
