krustbox
EDIT: **FIXED** Depth of Field was on, silly me. Why even have that enabled in the first place? It makes it so ugly. So i just installed skyrim and texture modded the crap out of it with mods like 2k textures, mesh improvement, etc. everything looks INCREDIBLE... EXCEPT the trees have chunky blurry blocks about them, unless i am looking directly in their direction with my crosshair. Has anyone else had this issue? Is this something with the texture mods themselves, or some sort of motion blur in game that i can turn off to fix it? Any ideas would help greatly, thanks. I'm posting two screenshots to show one not looking at the tree, and the other looking at the tree. http://i41.tinypic.com/wkh5cx.jpg But when looking directly at it, from the exact same distance, we get this... http://i43.tinypic.com/28hpq43.jpg Edited July 27, 2013 by krustbox
qwertyasdwek
Do you have any depth of field mods installed? It looks like some mods may be conflicting.
krustbox
not that i can see, no. I was actually just using the list of mods found on the "realvision enb" nexusmod page. I've tried disabling various mods that might relate, such as terrain redux, HD trees, etc. None of them fix the problem. It also does it with distant trees, here's another screenshot comparison. http://i39.tinypic.com/1h6rr8.jpg same distance, but looking slightly to the left right at the trees... http://i41.tinypic.com/xkwyus.jpg Edited July 26, 2013 by krustbox
qwertyasdwek
Try checking your view distance settings in the stock Skyrim launcher, make sure none of them are set extremely low.
krustbox
Everything is maxed on all my settings, including view distance :( this is just weird.
firemanaf
Are you using realvision enb? Looks like you have Depth of Field on.

krustbox
that fixed it! thanks a ton! why is that even enabled if it does that? what is the benefit of it?
firemanaf
Depth of Field focus what your looking at and blurs background. Good for screenshots but I don't like for when playing. Plus DOF can be a performance hit. Did you just disable DOF?
myztikrice
Why wouldn't I want my game to look as good as screenshots? I never understood the 'good for screenshots not ingame' argument.
