morrowind1979
I have created a Draugr NPC in the Creation kit. I gave him a drain health spell. and set encounter class to Draugr Magic and combat style in AI data to DraugrMagic. When I fight the Draugr in game he just equips the spells and runs backwards away from me without casting them. Anyone know how to fix this crap? He has a also has a destruction skill of 84 Edited July 26, 2013 by morrowind1979
Deleted31005User
I'm having same issue, its draugr and skeleton, both of these use the .hkx in their Race (behavior graph) which for some reason seems to bug them out if they use spells, its basically like you can't make draugr and skeletons into mages because at some point they will go in "melee" mode, yet while in this mode they will keep avoiding the enemy and not shooting spells at all, its only when the enemy comes closer and actually attacks in melee range that the draugr/skeleton fight a bit in melee and only then gets reset and begins using spells for a short while again. If I change "Actors\Draugr\DraugrProject.hkx" to "Actors\Character\DefaultMale.hkx" it will behave like a male human, out and in combat, and this makes it use spells normally without getting bugged, however, it also makes the feet go below the ground and hands are also weird, its like the mesh gets stretched to fit on a human or something. Also if you don't give your draugr/skeleton any melee weapon, they will forever be stuck, it needs a melee so that when the enemy comes and attacks it in melee range it gets reset...for a while at least, without any melee weapon it will be bugged forever. It seems like vanilla DraugrProject.hkx and draugr_skeleton.hkx won't allow you to turn them into mages, I'm starting to think the only way this could be fixed is if a modder actually edits these animation files.
