UnholyShadow Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 http://thewayoftheninja.org/This is a great platformer. It's challenging, but it's fun. http://kayin.pyoko.org/iwbtg/Hardest game I've ever played. The difficulty is ridiculous, but it's fun at the same time.
Vagrant0 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Thanks, I'm reminded why the platform Genre is pretty much dead. Not much in the ways of graphics or originality. Go play Contra... (if you're lucky enough to find it at a pawnshop of flea market). That was THE platform game. Too bad there hasn't been any sort of remake that still kept the same retro feel. If they did remake it, they would probably make it FPS or something silly like that, which while it "might" be cool on its own, just wouldn't do the series justice. Atleast point and click adventure games can still be practical in this environment of 3d gaming. Platformers, not so much since they are limited to 2 dimensions.
Halororor Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Braid is also a very nice platform game. I don't know if it classifies as one, but World of Goo also has infinite amounts of fun locked away in it.
XanAlderon Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 LittleBigPlanet anyone? Proves platforming can still be ridiculous fun.
