Ecstasis
Greetings, For some odd reason, I can't get my system to understand/unpack .ESP files that many mods come with, like MMM. It reads .esm files fine but cant' even execute, unpack, or do anything with .ESP files for some odd reason, which doesn't allow me to install most mods. I've tried everything I can think of personally to fix this. I'm using a store-bought non-steam DVD patched version of Fallout 3, on the Vista x64 bit OS. I've tried unpacking with both 7-zip and WINRAR. Any thoughts?
Skotte
it's installed to "program files" isn't it? Vista hates to change anything in there (like adding a mod) I've heard that shutting off the UAC works. I personally go with install my games to a "games" directory
Ecstasis
Indeed, I have it installed to the Program Files x86 folder with the rest of the 32bit apps I use classic mode so it feels more like XP, but do you really think turning off UAC will allow Vista to read files like that? I'm just not sure how they are connected, and I'm hesitant to turn it off.
