Force70
So I've been playing with the mod SkyRe and I noticed that everything costs more then normal. And that was fine and all but now the prices are changing. For instance the Steel Sword. The Default price is 45 (without SkyRe) and when I have SkyRe the price of the weapon in the shops is like 169 or something. But when I buy it, it goes back down to 45 (in my inventory). And I can only sell it for like 10. Why? I've tried to run the ReProccer and it doesn't seem to fix anything.
Force70
So I tried to re-install it and start a new game and it did not get rid of the glitch. I though SkyRe was suppose to only change the damage and protection of weapons and armor, not the value.
Georgiegril
It is not a glitch, it is an intended change. I know the author's web site is very long, but if you read all of it you will not have any other surprises. You could manually change the price, read the reprocc mod page for an explanation of hove to adjust values to your personal taste. The author intended for the weapons/armors price to change after I bought it? That doesn't make sense.
Georgiegril
It is just like in real life. If you went right now and bought a fancy sword at your neighborhood fancy sword shop, you would pay retail. However, if you tried to sell it, it is very likely you would have to take a deep cut (see, for reference, anything on ebay.). Over time, specifically with increased speechcraft, you will find that the situation slowly becomes reversed, and depending on your perks and enchantments, you may eventually find that you can sell an item for more than what it costs you to buy it. I believe there is a similar system in vanilla skyrim (its been a while but I do recall vanilla perks that affect sale prices). Like a lot of things in Skyre, it is designed for people who found the vanilla too easy and wanted more of a challenge. Personally I much prefer it, as in vanilla I would be running around with millions of dollars without even trying. Even now, I am on level 30-something and have a few hundred thousand and nothing to spend it on. However, like I said before, you can adjust this to your own taste if you want, just read the Reproc mod page.
Force70
Okay. I knew about the vanilla system. But the system that comes with SkyRe felt more like a glitch. Since after buying the sword it when back to it's vanilla price.
Georgiegril
As I understand it--- The price you see when it is in your inventory, just looking at it, is the base value. The price that you see when it is in the shopkeeper's inventory is what you would have to pay to get it (which also includes any enchantments, potions, or other effects that affect your bartering.) When you are connected to the shopkeepers inventory (you are buying/selling) the price that you see in your inventory is what you can get him to pay you for it (which also would include any potion/enchantments/effects). Probably it is all better explained by T3nd0 in his description.
