World map blank/Can't zoom

I remember having this problem years ago but I don't remember the fix.

 

my world map is now completely blank and won't zoom in or out, (local map is fine) other pipboy menus all fine.

it's not just effecting the one save game either, any game I load is now suffering this issue regardless of where they are,

 

I've tried a full system reboot. I remember definitely experiencing this years ago but not how to fix it.

 

The game works fine except for the world map, but without it I'm very limited in how to travel unless I COC everywhere, so this kinda breaks the game for me.

found it was a mod causing it, one of the ones that fleshed out the Nelis base, removing it from my load order didn't fix the issue though I had to go back to a save before I added it.

but now my issue is fixed :)
