TAWTemplar
So I recently got fo3edit in order to solve my mod issues in fallout. Upon extracting the files into the fallout root folder and trying to run fo3edit I get the FATAL ERROR on start up that it cant find fallout in the directory. Now I assume this is because I have a steam copy of fallout and not a hard copy. How can I fix this.
M48A5
Move Fallout 3 out of the Steam directory (you don't need it for Fallout 3) and out of Program Files. FO3Edit is being locked out by your computer's User Access Control.
TAWTemplar
where should i put fallout to make it work with fo3edit, and will moving it mess with my mods?
M48A5
Quite a few people put it in the Games folder, I just installed it directly on my hard drive in a "Bethesda Softworks" folder. When you move the game, you should be moving everything at the same time.
luthienanarion
Recent versions of *Edit use entries in the Windows registry to find paths to your game files. If you've moved your game installation, move it back.
