Xt188647
Hi all, I've been working on a small mod for myself, but have hit a snag in development and now I'm wondering if anyone here has an answer for me. I've managed to create a duplicate of the Lucky 38's world-space, the same mountains you see when you are in Mr. House's Penthouse and the Cocktail lounge, and am now in the process of building a player home in the new space. In order to save time I'm wondering if it's actually possible to copy a room from an interior cell, and then paste it in the world space. Normally, I'd think the answer would be "yes", but my computer requires that the line: "bUseMultibounds=1" in the GECKCustom.ini Be in place in order to render the Lucky 38 worldspace without a CTD. The interior cell I'm trying to copy requires the same line be set to 0 in order to avoid the same CTD. My question(s) is/are this; Is there anything I can do to copy the interior data from my cell into the worldspace without having to start my work all over again? Are there any changes to the GECKCustom.ini that I could make to allow both cells to render in the same GECK session? What about FNVEdit, is there a way to do the change from interior to exterior in there? Any feedback or help on the issue is much appreciated. Thanks for your time everyone. TrickyVein
If you want to copy references from one cell to another or just duplicate them, go to 'edit' under the menu and pull down to 'copy render' after selecting everything you want to move. You can then paste the references into a new cell. No need to mess with .ini settings. How exactly did you duplicate the Lucky 38 worldspace? Did you copy terrain meshes and LOD textures into a new folder named for your worldspace? A simpler/more efficient solution would be to use the Lucky 38 worldspace as a parent for yours and use it's LOD info. Xt188647
I used the L38 Worldspace as a parent, and used the LOD info. I wasn't aware that I didn't need to load the cell I want to duplicate in the render window in order to copy assets over. I'll give that a try, and update if there's any complications. Thanks for that!
