WarMonger1396
Hello, I've been attempting to change the scale of the "Buffout" container in Nif Skope. I do this, and save it, but every time I try to open the mesh in the GECK, it crashes. I'm at a loss of what to do, I've searched high and low in google and haven't found anything. Any help would be appreciated. I don't work in Nifskope often, so there is a possibility that it's my fault.
DaemonGrin
Curious..why are you scaling it in nifskope? Geck lets you scale items already. Just double click the item in your render window and scale in 3d data tab or click on the item hold S key and left mouse click drag up to scale up or down to scale down. Good luck,Geoff
jazzisparis
Curious..why are you scaling it in nifskope? If it's a pick-able, rather than a static object, then scaling must be done in the NIF file itself, otherwise, when the object is picked, the scale that was set in the GECK is reset to 1. WarMonger1396, Open the NIF file in NifSkope. Right-click the top branch BSFadeNode, then Transform > Edit. Now, set the Scale, click Accept and save. WarMonger1396
It didn't work, it still crashes every time I open the mesh the GECK. Although, I noticed, now, when I open the Buffout container, the nifskope error box thing pops up. It says ""array Vertices invalid"" and ""device position incorrect after block number 3 (bhkConvexVerticesShape) at 0x235 ended at 0x255 (expected 0x259)"" (This is the vanilla nif from Bethesda with no edits). And now, when I save it, it says ""array vertices invalid"" and ""block 3 vertices array size mismatch"". devinpatterson
It didn't work, it still crashes every time I open the mesh the GECK. Hmmm. No problems on this side with nifskope 1.1.3. I clicked on the buff, right click->transform->edit and unders scale set 0.5000, save new nif. No problems in geck or in game. WarMonger1396
As I said, I haven't used it in awhile, perhaps I should re-install nifskope. I'll try that, and see what happens.
WarMonger1396
Okay, it seems my version of Nifskope was a bit outdated. I installed 1.1.3. and it worked like a charm. Thanks a lot for the help guys!
