Magic effects question

Recommended Posts

Shurly it depands what the magic effect (or the thing it applies like a perk) is configured to do ?

Modifier, Peak Value modifier, absolute values, relative values. Some will stack and some will not.

It can be recursivly confusing as they can be applied Perk > Spell > MagicEffect > Perk

ps I just use 'em to runs scrips on targets so no comprehensive knowledge here.

Okay thanks. I'll continue to experiment then. Was playing around with stagger and some other things but wasn't seeing anything happen with stagger. Hence, the question. I'll try adjusting the magnitude and see if that has any effect. If I recall, stagger is on one of the lagers in the game. Toying around with a script at the moment which could in theory get a randomized effect, which could be cool. I went a bit over board in my initial concept design, and wasted a bit of time refreshing my memory on probabilities. I was trying to implement a very small probability of death.

But at the end of the day, the benefits of consuming the moonshine needed to out weight the risks, Yet, not be OP. Balance is harder to achieve than say. lol BTW, I did watch some youtube vids on the shine in FO76. I see why you liked the blackout effect. Did you get your model sorted out?

I munged a chimera of base game and dlc meshes together, but got bored because for me its about events and experiences rather than stuff.

A rusty barrel activator is all I really need, which is why I'll never be a mainstream publisher.

Too much mesh and texure grind, not enough real time event scripting !
