Catsurcool
I have been trying to fix this bug for the past few hours. Whenever I go near Lakeview Manor, it crashes instantly. I cannot fast travel there, and don't know how to fix this.I apologize if this is not written well; it is currently 6 AM and I should be asleep. Here's what I have tried so far: Use save cleaner to hopefully clean the save, but this does not work. Still crashes if I attempt to fast travel or simply walk there. I ran it with no mods and I was able to go to Lakeview Manor, so of course it would be the mods, right? Either too many active mods or a specific one, and I thought I narrowed it down. Playing without the mod, "command dragon" fixed it for a time. I had only a few mods enabled at the time, them being RaceMenu.esp, RaceMenuPlugin.esp, iHUD.esp. With only these enabled, it let me go to Lakeview Manor. Assuming I'd fixed the problem, I loaded all my normal mods except "command dragon". I still cannot go near it, it crashes, same as it did before. I tried to use the save cleaner once more, and I used the functions, "FixScriptInstances", "Delete all #", "Clean Other", "Del. broken actives". I saved the save, loaded it up, and I could go to what looks like a ghost version of Lakeview Manor. It deleted the actual spot, there are just a few models of what used to be Lakeview Manor. I have a backup save prior to the save cleaner, but I just don't know how to fix this. Thank you, hope someone here can help with this. Edit: I removed the lakeview manor extension mod, and it fixed the problem. I just don't understand how it wouldn't have worked earlier when I ran it without the extension mod. It still crashed earlier, regardless of the fact the mod was disabled. I still wish to use the lakeview extension mod, because I have before with no issues. I don't know what changed to make it crash like this, but I guess that's the problem I need help with now. Edit 2: The creator of the mod, Ac3s is banned, and so are his mods. The lakeview manor extension was completely removed from nexus. Is that what the problem is? Did they delete it from my mods, or something? Ondrea
Ac3s removed his mods and is hosting them elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with them. Per the instructions on Lakeview Extended, it isn't supposed to be activated until Lakeview is completely built and not before. You cannot build anything, even adding chickens, after this mod is activated. Did you already have Lakeview built? If that's not the issue, have you run all your mods through xEdit to see if anything is conflicting in that area? Posting your mod list might be helpful. Honestly, I'd never use a save cleaner. I'd go back before you started doing that. Not familiar with Command Dragon but the front page indicates some command lines that need to be added in the console before removing. Although honestly, I never remove mods on a playthrough. If something is problematic, I start over without it.
37G
If you run everything through SSEEdit and right click on the mod > apply filter for conflicts, then expand Lakeview Extended into the Worldspace/Tamriel section, I suspect you'll find heaps of red in that Falkreath area. Up to you if you want to resolve those conflicts, but you can usually get around it by loading the mod way later. So I used to get crashes in this area too, and for a while I just moved the Lakeview mod (Avant Garden in this case) further down. However, uninstalling / unticking midgame is definitely going to cause crashworthy problems - it's just a mod conflict, if you have backup saves you're all good. Save cleaning is useful for long convoluted playthroughs with slowly growing problems like script errors, but usually it's only worth removing 'unattached instances' and 'undefined elements'
